Rise Up

In 1979, a group of parents and educators felt the call of God to take a leap of faith and started the St. Cloud Christian School. They recognized the need to create a non-denominational Christian School in St. Cloud and sacrificed to make it happen. Now, it’s time to Rise Up for the next generation.

COMING SOON!

Over forty-five years ago, a group of parents and educators listened to the call of God on their hearts to take a leap of faith and founded “Kings Academy of St. Cloud.”

They recognized the need to create a non-denominational Christian School in St. Cloud, and sacrificed to make it happen. Since its founding, God has blessed SCCS immeasurably. We are grateful for the leaders, families, and ministry partners that have dared to believe in the impact Christian education can have in strengthening a child’s foundation and instilling a confidence in Christ’s power for the future.

Since 2020 we have continued to see growth in our student body and a stronger desire for a Christian education from families in central Minnesota. To help fill a need in our community, in 2021 we opened Little Warriors Preschool and became the only, one-campus Preschool through twelfth grade Christian school in St. Cloud. Our all-in-one campus has meet the needs of so many of our families with students across all grade levels.

Leadership at SCCS has felt the call on our hearts as the Lord has invited us to look ahead to the future of SCCS. In order to fulfill our mission of, “providing opportunities to grow in wisdom, build healthy relationships, and serve our community,” we must continue to step out in faith and strengthen our students for the future. We believe this means to provide more diverse opportunities for their growth, not just intellectually, but also physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In order to improve and grow the programs that create a well-rounded education for our students, the SCCS School Board and Leadership team believe now is the time to Rise Up, for such a time as this!

With the support of generous donors who believe in the mission and vision of SCCS, we were able to purchase the former Crafts Direct Building in Waite Park, MN and remain debt free. Moving from our current just over 40,000 sq. ft. facility to a renovated 72,000 sq. ft. facility will allow us to house a gymnasium for our athletic programs, physical education classes, drama, music events, and chapel in our own auditorium, and add programs such as industrial tech, woodshop, culinary classes and state of the art science labs. In addition to providing this well-rounded programing we will be able to enroll over 500 students in preschool through twelfth grade and meet the growing demand for Christian education.

We are now entering our capital campaign to obtain the funds necessary to renovate our new building with the goal of moving in by the 2025-2026 school year. The Theme for our campaign is “Rise Up, for such a time as this” as we seek to remember that this is not just about a building. Instead, it is about creating increased learning opportunities for our students as they discover the truth God is speaking over their lives and the promises He holds for their futures. It is our prayer that the students of SCCS, whether in the classroom, on the court, or on the stage, answer the call to stand firm and proclaim Christ’s Kingdom.

With this capital campaign our goal is to raise $5 million dollars to secure the future of SCCS!
