Band & Choir Objectives
Choir at SCCS exists in part to share the gospel of Christ through music.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear an put their trust in the lord. – Psalm 40:3
It is used to bring God glory through music and singing.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you
a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. – Romans 15:5-6
Choir uses music as a means of expression of praise and worship for God.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful
songs. – Psalm 100:2
Here are some of the musical opportunities we have here at SCCS:
- Band
- Jazz Band
- Choir
- Worship Team
Choir Dress Code:
Girls:
- Black dress pants or skirt below the knees
- Black socks or hosiery and black dress shoes
- Solid black blouse, sweater, or shirt. Must have sleeves. No sleeveless or narrow strapped dresses. Sleeves can be short, 3/4 length, or long.
- Dresses may be worn if they fit the above criteria.
- All clothing must be solid black; no stripes or patterns
